Most therapy models deliver one hour of support per week. Our model is different. For families who request parent coaching alongside their children’s therapy services, we give families the tools to practice communication strategies across 100 or more hours of weekly interaction at home. Victoria King Erb draws on over a decade of experience working with children and a coaching philosophy shaped by competitive athletics. She believes children grow most when they are encouraged to try hard things, handle setbacks, and build genuine confidence in who they are. Every evaluation at King Speech Therapy Services includes standardized testing, language samples, and a parent interview so that the plan of care reflects your child's real-world needs, not just a clinical checklist.

FOUNDER & SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST
Victoria King Erb founded King Speech Therapy Services with a commitment to helping children build stronger communication skills through individualized, encouraging care.
With specialized expertise in Speech Sound Disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, and Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, Victoria’s experience helps shape the approach of the entire King Speech Therapy team. She is Hanen Certified in the It Takes Two to Talk program and has advanced training in DTTC, the SOS Approach to Feeding, and Feed the Peds.
That approach is rooted in meeting each child where they are, building intrinsic motivation, celebrating effort, and helping children gain confidence as they develop new skills. Our team carries that philosophy into the personalized care we provide to every family we serve.

It Takes Two to Talk Course
It Takes Two to Talk is a Hanen-certified program designed from parents of children 12 months to 4 years of age with language delays that includes interactive parent group and individual video feedback sessions.

Talk, Play, & Grow Classes
These 60-minute caregiver-and-child classes are organized by age group, from 12 months to 4 years of age. Each class follows a structured format including circle time, themed story time, play-based activities, sensory exploration, and take-home tips for continuing the learning at home.

Parent Workshops
Research shows that children make the fastest progress when their caregivers are active participants in therapy. Our parent and caregiver programs are designed to give you the knowledge, tools, and confidence to support your child's communication every single day.
What ages does King Speech Therapy Services work with?
King Speech Therapy Services provides pediatric therapy for children ages 18 months through 17 years old. Caregiver and child group classes, including the Talk, Play, and Grow program, begin at 12 months. If you are unsure whether your child falls within the age range for a specific service, reaching out for a consultation is a great first step.Which insurance plans does the clinic accept?
King Speech Therapy Services is in-network with PPO plans through Cigna, Blue Shield, Anthem, HealthNet, and Aetna. For families whose insurance is out of network, the clinic can provide a Superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. A prompt pay rate option is also available. Contact the clinic directly to verify your specific plan and benefits before scheduling. How is a speech and language evaluation conducted at your clinic?
Evaluations at King Speech Therapy Services combine standardized testing, live language samples, and a detailed parent interview. This three-part approach gives the clinician a full picture of how your child communicates in real-world settings, not just in a structured test environment. The results are used to build an individualized plan of care that reflects your child's specific goals and your family's daily life.My toddler is not talking yet. How do I know if they need speech therapy?
If your child has limited words or vocalizations, is difficult to understand, or is not meeting verbal milestones for their age, an evaluation can clarify what is happening and what support might help. Early intervention is one of the most effective tools available for late talkers. King Speech Therapy Services specializes in emergent language and early intervention for children as young as 18 months, and caregiver programs start even earlier at 12 months. What is Childhood Apraxia of Speech and do you treat it?
Childhood Apraxia of Speech, or CAS, is a motor speech disorder in which the brain has difficulty coordinating the precise movements needed for clear speech. It often presents as inconsistent sound errors and difficulty with certain sound combinations. Victoria King Erb is a member of the Apraxia Kids SLP Directory and uses Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing, known as DTTC, as a primary treatment approach for CAS. This is one of the most researched and effective methods available for this diagnosis. What is the difference between the Hanen program and the Talk, Play, and Grow classes?
The It Takes Two to Talk Hanen program is a certified, structured course for parents of children ages 12 months to 4 years with identified language delays. It uses group sessions and video feedback to teach parents how to facilitate language development at home. Talk, Play, and Grow classes are shorter, 60-minute caregiver-and-child sessions organized by age group that focus on play-based learning, songs, themed activities, and sensory exploration. Both programs give caregivers practical tools, but the Hanen course is more intensive and clinically structured.Do you offer teletherapy for families who cannot come to the Upland clinic?
Yes. In addition to clinic-based services at the Upland office, King Speech Therapy Services offers teletherapy for families across the Inland Empire. This option is available for families in areas such as Victorville, Apple Valley, Fontana, Rancho Cucamonga, Ontario, and Claremont who may have difficulty traveling to the clinic regularly. Can you help me understand my child's IEP and advocate for their needs at school?
Yes. The IEP process can feel overwhelming, especially for parents who are new to it. King Speech Therapy Services offers IEP consultation and support services that include reviewing documentation, explaining your child's rights under Free and Appropriate Public Education, and helping you prepare to advocate effectively at school meetings. Victoria's six years of experience in school-based settings gives her a strong understanding of how school systems work and what families need to know going in.
