SERVICES
Our services begin with a comprehensive evaluation to help us identify the underlying factors contributing to your child's challenges. Our evaluations consist of standardized tests, parent/caregiver interview, speech-language sample, and client-therapist interactions. Following the evaluation, we will review the results and collaborate to develop a plan of care and therapy goals.
SPEECH
We provide speech therapy for articulation disorders, phonological delays and disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and fluency to address the following:
-
Speech that is difficult to understand
-
Limited words or vocalizations
-
Difficulty saying certain sounds or sound combinations
-
A limited number of sounds
-
Inconsistent errors in speech
-
Difficulty with oral motor-planning
-
Stuttering or cluttering
Our sessions will combine direct instruction, repetitions to encourage motor learning, and integrated practice to help your child achieve their speech goals. Time is dedicated at the end of our sessions to debrief parents about what was worked on and what strategies to practice at home.
LANGUAGE
Early intervention for children experiencing delayed language supports the development of skills such as:
-
Functional communication skills to express wants and needs
-
Increasing spontaneous communication
-
Responding to their name and simple directions
-
Vocabulary development
-
Combing words into phrases
-
Asking and answering questions
We take a collaborative and play-based approach when working with younger children and encourage families to be involved in our sessions. We dedicate time for parent education and coaching to ensure parents feel confident in supporting their child's ongoing practice at home.
SOCIAL SKILLS
Social skills therapy targets the development of early play and social skills such as:
-
Participating in back-and-forth communication exchanges
-
Increased engagement with peers
-
Developmentally appropriate play skills
-
Social-emotional learning
-
Navigating conflict
Our therapy sessions will be planned to match each child's abilities, preferences, and age with interactive and meaningful activities. Parents of younger children will be coached on how to build home practice into everyday routines to support ongoing learning.
PARENT COACHING
Parent coaching is an integral part of the therapy process. When providing early intervention for speech, language, or social skills, parents will be provided with tools and strategies to support ongoing learning at home. We also offer parent coaching as a stand-alone service, allowing parents a chance to ask questions and receive education around specific strategies they can use to support their children.

INDIVIDUALIZED EDUCATION PLAN (IEP) CONSULTATIONS & SUPPORT
We understand that when your child qualifies for an IEP, it can be an overwhelming and intimidating process. We have extensive experience working in the public school setting to help support students in receiving a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE). We are able to support your family in understanding the IEP documentation, understanding your parent rights, collaborating on speech/language/communication goals, how to advocate for your child's services and needs, and more.
